Shocking Roulette

I've been a very bad blogger of late. Ever since I went home in July my blogs have been few, poor and far between. I have no good excuse. I was gone, then my parents were here, then I was just lazy. I've got tons to add though. I can tell you of my new internet obsession. Or about that time (yesterday) that I called the cops on a 9 year old. Perhaps you'd like to hear about the two guys who crashed their cars shortly after meeting me (see, now no disaster has befallen me of late, it's just spiraled away. Call me the Typhoid Mary of car accidents...). Maybe you just want me to shut up and blog more books (which, I must confess, in addition to not blogging, I've not really been reading much. I'll pause for your gasps and while you mutter in shocked tones to your neighbor. Because I so know that you surf in tandem...pause....).

Let me know. Your silence will only mean we'll be up for a game of Jackie Roulette...

(Wanna know what that picture is? Go here). lol.

So funny that you have that roulette thing on there! Sara and I just saw that at a store over the weekend! I guess I'll tell this story here because it's a little safer here than over at my blog...

We saw that roulette shocker thing, but we also saw another one where everybody gets a joystick thing with a button on top. There is a light on the console that is red and as soon as it turns green everybody has to try to hit their button. Whoever was last to hit it gets shocked. So it's similar to the roulette thing except it has a point!

Well, I was sure that this cheap looking little battery powered thing couldn't give you much of a shock. I've done "shock" things like that before and they really only vibrated, sort of like a cheap "joy buzzer." So Sara and I did it and Sara was last but she didn't really react. So I was really sure it wouldn't shock anybody so I went ahead and hit the button early (which also shocks you).

Holy cow!! It shocks the snot out of you! I made very un-manly sound and almost let go of the joystick. My wimpyness was only highlighted by the fact that Sara was so stoic when she did it. To be honest, it probably wasn't that bad, but it took me completely by surprise because I was so sure it wouldn't shock me!

You could always blog one story at a time for like 4 or 5 or 26 days in a row...but if I had to choose...I'd say calling the cops on the 9-year old (since I'm not as privileged as Dan to know the story)

I vote for car accident since I too know the 9 year old cop story.
