Actually, I've been asked if I sit around, read, and knit all day long...clearly, librarians are seen as multitaskers. Boring multitaskers, but multitaskers none the less.
In my middle school library, I would be happy if I just got to SIT at some point during my ten hour long workday. (At least I do NOT feel guilty about sitting and reading all evening.)Besides, it wouldn't be much fun to read at work-- that's when I get to recommend the books to kids!

I've been wondering how to get that sitting around all day reading job, too. But no dice so far. Good luck with it.
You can get a job reading books once I get a job reading blogs all day.
